Capturing a moment in time
Llano Low River Crossing
It was 100 degrees in the shade in Texas. I stood on the edge of the river, the ideal painting spot at the time. After an hour or so painting, the cold water swirling around my feet looked more and more inviting until I finally just sat down in the water! The elements can be brutal, but plein air painters brave the adversities the great outdoors throw our way. For the love of nature. And to aspire to capture a stunning moment in time.
There is nothing like it-- the peace, the joy, sounds of nature, the fresh air and the colors, that make the en plein air painting experience one of a kind. I hope you enjoy viewing some of the moments I've caught while wandering the backroads.
